Margaret Holland Stevens

Margaret Holland Stevens of Louisville, Kentucky passed away August 26, 2020. She was born to Arthur and Thelma Holland December 7, 1929. She graduated from both Hartford High School and Georgetown College. She then moved to Elizabethtown, KY, serving Hardin County in the area of Kentucky Child Welfare Social Services. She was married to the late Howard Stevens and is survived by her son, Dane Stevens (Laura). Margaret has 2 step children, Larry Stevens (Susan) and Linda Valo (Paul). After several years with child welfare she began teaching social studies at Ft. Knox High School. She retired after teaching 31 years. Music was important to Margaret. She sang while in college with Georgetown's A Cappella Choir, also Severns Valley Baptist Choir and for the last six years, St. Matthews Baptist Choir. She will be greatly missed by her many loving friends, neighbors, and family. She is survived by one brother, Carl Holland (Marilyn) sisters, Martha Thomas (Ray) Carolyn Seward (Marlan), Evelyn Snider (Ken) and Hilda Berryman (Robert). She has a host of nieces and nephews that will miss "Aunt Margaret". Her memorial service will be held in December close to her birthday.
