Margaret Jean "Margie" Rauck, 66, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020. She was a lifelong member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and a member of Down Syndrome of Louisville, where she participated in the "Boogie Down Crew." Along with dancing, Margie enjoyed singing, her papers, view master slides, and anything Wizard of Oz. Margie always wore a smile on her face and loved giving out the best hugs.
She was born on January 15, 1954, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Frank and Catherine (Kleehamer) Rauck. Margie was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Ann Rauck and Janice Schmelz; and brother-in-law, Charles Warren.
Margie is survived by her loving sisters, Doris Warren and Evelyn Blankenship (Gene); nephew, Kevin Warren (Robin); nieces, Deanna Wilder (Eddie), Carla Ramser (Billy), Kelly Pyzocha (Joe), Lori Ruscoe (Geoff), and Kristy Hand (Bret); 16 great-nieces and -nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Campus, 2605 W. St. Joe Road, Sellersburg) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
