Margaret Louise (Braun) Hendricks

Margaret Louise (Braun) Hendricks, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was a retired resident counselor at Sullivan College and a member of Northside Christian Church.

She was born on September 25, 1934, to the late Bernard and May (Ward) Braun. Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester.

Margaret is survived by her children, Jeffrey Hendricks, Dianna Darnley (Greg), Steven Hendricks, and Kathryn Dowell (Dannie); grandchildren, Casey Darnley (Amanda), Ashleigh Hendricks, Erin Darnley, Joanna Rudolph, Sean Durbin, and Hunter Dowell; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation was chosen following Margaret's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her Celebration of Life taking place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
