Margaret K. Haddox

Margaret K. Haddox, age 79, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on November 21 ,2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, whose family was her greatest joy. Margaret's life was a testament to hard work and dedication, culminating in her retirement from the Galt House after many fulfilling years.

Known for her warm spirit, Margaret enjoyed a range of activities that brought her happiness, including playing BINGO, attending horse races, playing cards, and shopping on QVC. Her generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, and she will be deeply missed.

Born on April 12, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, Margaret was the daughter of Ned and Mary (Whalen) McCormick. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don M. Haddox; her parents, Ned and Mary Alma McCormick; and her brothers, Edward Lee McCormick and Paul McCormick.

Margaret is survived by a loving family, including her children: Charlene House, David (Terri) Searcy, and Lisa (Bob) Rose. She cherished her grandchildren: Stephanie Searcy, Megan (Wayne) Burns, Leachman House, David (Angie) Searcy, Jr., Roger Clark, II, Dylan (Ashley) Searcy, Lacie (Michael) Smith, along with 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Delores (James) Ward, Charles (Jean) McCormick, and Rosemary (Phil) Rohe, as well as her granddog, Jet, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Visitation for Margaret will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A funeral service honoring her life will follow at 12:30 pm, with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in memory of Margaret be made to the funeral home to help with funeral cost.
