Margaret Jayne (Ashby) Cravens

Margaret Jayne (Ashby) Cravens, 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was an active member of South Clark Church of Christ. Margaret had a career as a stagehand and was a long-time member of Local 17.

She was born on September 8, 1940 in Kettering, England to Eric and Julia (Coleman) Ashby. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cravens, Jr.; and son, Paul Cravens.

Margaret is survived by her children, Kimberly Cravens, Dayle Cravens (Carol); daughter-in-law, Connie Cravens; grandchildren, Jesse, Tiffany, Tabitha, Daniel; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Cremation was chosen following Margaret's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
