Margaret Joan "Joni" Carter, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 14, 2018.
Joni was born on December 29, 1942 in San Pedro, California to the late Joseph and Helen Wells.
She was an avid worldwide traveler, she loved animals, plants and music. Over the years Joni worked for several airline companies, and was the Director of the KY Botanical Gardens during the 80's.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Joy Wells-Collis (John); brother, Joseph Allen Wells, Jr. (Natalie); nephew, Chad Wells (Amanda); and great-nephew, Gavin Wells.
Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
