Margaret Ann (Booth) Becht

Margaret Ann (Booth) Becht, age 93, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. A devoted family woman, Margaret cherished over 50 years of camping adventures with her loved ones, found joy in gardening, and delighted in babysitting her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

Born on March 9, 1933, in Colesburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Cofer) Booth. Preceding her in death were her children, Kathryn Stinson and Jeffrey Becht; daughter-in-law, Ellen; brothers, Robert, Russell, Cofer, John, Vincent, and Eugene Booth; sisters, Wilma Ehringer and Loretta Schenck; and one granddaughter.

Margaret leaves behind her devoted husband of over 73 and a half years, Anthony Becht; children, Richard Becht (Kathy), Nancy Whitaker (Jim), and Kelly Becht; sister, Roberta Black; brother-in-law, Paul Ehringer; along with nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany), and will continue on Tuesday morning after 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs). A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions for Margaret may be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church for masses to be said in her memory.
