Marcus DeShawn Helm, 21, passed away on August 21, 2017. He was a student at Northern Kentucky University and an avid reader. Marcus had a sweet, calm spirit and was gifted in working with children.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elois Adams; grandfathers, William Helm, Jr. and Cortez Brown and a close cousin, Julius Mitchell.
Marcus is survived by his parents, Maurice and Erika Helm; brother, Bryson Helm; sister, Adrienne Helm; grandmother, Hattie "Tiny" Helm; close friend, Tyrese Hudson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Marcus' life will be held at St. Stephen Church, 1018 S. 15th Street, Louisville, KY on Saturday, September 2, 2017, beginning at 2pm.
