Marcia Kay Richmer

Marcia Kay Richmer, 59, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. She was a long-time employee at the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville. Marcia loved spending time with her family and friends and was especially close with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and fan of Hallmark movies. Marcia enjoyed country music, visiting the beach, and her beloved dog, Sage.

She was born on May 31, 1962, in New Albany, Indiana. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Richmer and Marlys (Parr) Richmer; stepmother, Mariquita Richmer; and brother, James Richmer.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Pete Wines; children, Brittany Wines and Shawn Richmer; stepson, Christopher Wines; grandchildren, Bradley and Patrick Wines and Finn Richmer; and brothers, Edward W. Richmer (Deb) and Anthony Richmer (Debbie).

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Flower Point-Parr Cemetery in Alton, Indiana.
