Mae Thompson

Mae Thompson, 89, passed away on June 15, 2015. She was from Lily, Kentucky and moved to Louisville at an early age. She retired after 42 years at Delmonico Foods and she was an active member of Trinity Pentecostal Church. She welcomed visitors and enjoyed cooking for them; you would never leave her house hungry and she enjoyed traveling with her daughter, Charmaue.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Thompson; son, Hansel Thompson; one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Charmaue (Ralph) Blackford, Randall (Laura) Thompson and Ronnie (Kim) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Thompson; grandchildren, Michele, Chris, Joe, Tim, Adam, Aaron, Erica, Rocky, Nathan, and Brett and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 3pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Mae's life will be Friday, June 19, 2015, beginning at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.
