Mae (Griffin) Choate, 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
Mae was born on May 6, 1931, to the late Henry M. and Elizabeth L. (Wilhelm) Griffin. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Angel Hawkins and Susie Purtlebaugh; 1 sister; 5 brothers; and 2 grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Linda Gabriel (Steven), Richard Purtlebaugh, Tawanna Thompson (Glen), and Levester Purtlebaugh; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
