Mable Christine (Watkins) Main

Mable Christine (Watkins) Main, 81, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020. She was a member of Greater Faith Church in New Albany where she faithfully attended services every week. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Spending time with her cherished family was her favorite pastime.

She was born on May 28, 1939, in Giles County, Tennessee, to the late Homer and Ola Mae (Roland) Watkins. Along with her parents, Mable is preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Main, Sr.; and brother, Billy Watkins.

Mable is survived by her loving children, William J. (Nilia) Main, Jr., Lenny (JoAnne) Main, Connie (Bobby) Hentrup, Vickie Jones, Michael (Veronica) Main, and Cheri (Chauncey) Romine; grandchildren, Heather, April, William, Bradley, BJ (Natalie), Brittany (Nic), Sarah (Gary), Katie, Aaron (Jenna), and Ashley (Logan); great-grandchildren Rayven, Michael, Jeffrey, Jr., Jayden, Isyss, Garrison, Bratcher, Berkeley, and Joseph; and siblings, James (Sue) Watkins and Rick (BeBe) Watkins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane) and will continue on Friday, August 28, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with a private burial service to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.

The family requests that contributions in Mable's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
