Mabel Lucille (Evans) Hutchison, 93, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was a member of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany.
She was born on May 19, 1924, in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Helen (Edeburn) Evans. Mabel was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hutchison; and siblings, Ruth Robinson and Owen Evans.
Mabel is survived by her daughter, Barbara McLaughlin (Malcolm); siblings, Charles Evans (Jean), Margaret Green, Betty Ann Kelly, and Emma Jane Coulter (Richard); grandchildren, Debbie Farrell (Brad), Teresa Bailey (Bryan), Betsy Wright (Shawn), Susie Mengelt (Greg), and Malcolm McLaughlin, Jr.; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. at Graceland Baptist Church (3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. She will be laid to rest privately beside her husband at Southern Memorial Park in North Miami Beach, Florida.
To the staff at Autumn Woods from Mabel's family: "There's not a better staff or support group than the men and women at Autumn Woods. Thank you so very much for all the love you poured out to Mom. She loved you all."
