Lynne Ellen Christenson, 59, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on February 19, 2015.
She was employed at Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives and was an active member of the National Country Market Board, where she served 15 years on the board and was National President 8 years, she was on the national board of the American Women of Radio and Television, and an active member of Black Acre Nature Reserve and was their consultant for the last 5 years. She also enjoyed painting in the Kentucky Watercolor Society. Among Lynne's passions she loved to travel especially to Paris, France which she's been to 3 times, and has traveled to 9 countries.
Lynne's greatest legacy will carry on as the Lynne Christenson Award of Excellence; which will be awarded by the National Board of NCM each year.
Lynne was born on January 23, 1956 in Alton, Illinois to the late Waltor and Jacquelin (Joehl) Breyfogle. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Jake Bartlett.
Lynne is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ted Christenson, brother, John Bartlett of Edwardsville, IL, brothers; Jeff Breyfogle of Blue Springs, MO, Eric Breyfogle of Independence, MO, and step-brother, Steve Bartlett of Tampa, FL, uncle Don Breyfogle of Las Vagas, NV, and aunt Carolyn Bumbacher of Alton, IL.
A gathering will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm on Friday February 27, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville).
A celebration of Lynne's life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Black Acres Nature Reserve and/or Kentucky Watercolor Society.
