Lucille Rhodes

Lucille Rhodes, 93, of Oldham County passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Baptist East in Hospice Care surrounded by her family. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a preschool teacher at Kinder Care on Herr Lane for many years. She was a member of the First Church of God on Taylorsville Road.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert (Bob) Rhodes; her parents, Howard and Wavie Webster and 3 siblings. Lucille is survived by her 4 children; Donna Price (Randy), Marsha Rhodes Landwerth (Steve), Darryl Rhodes (Kathy), and Dale Miller (Steve). She had 9 grandchildren, Danna, Andrea, Michael, Shae, Zachary, Leah, Morgan, Nicholas, and Sara. 14 great grandchildren, Danae, Corina, Kaitlyn, Mia, Ava, Dylan, Sophia, Kyra, Van, Colton, Collin, Zoey, Zeke, and Blaise, 2 great great grandchildren, Emma and Hudson.

Friends are welcome to visit the family on Tuesday, June 9th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, June 10th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer East Louisville Chaple (235 Juneau Drive). A service honoring Lucille will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Lucille will then be laid to rest privately at Independence Cemetery (5358 Madison Pike, Independence). 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggest that expressions of sympathy be made to either Hosparus of Louisville or a Charity of your Choice.
