Louise J. Bezy Uhl, a beacon of love and dedication, departed this world on December 19, 2025, in Scottsburg, IN, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on May 28, 1933, in Louisville, KY, Louise lived a life filled with compassion, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family. A proud graduate of New Albany High School, she embarked on a beautiful journey that would see her transform into a beloved wife, a nurturing mother, a cherished grandmother, and a compassionate friend.
After her graduation, Louise embraced the fulfilling role of a homemaker, pouring her heart and soul into ensuring that her beloved family had everything they needed to thrive. Her nurturing spirit not only provided a warm and loving home but also inspired those around her to appreciate the simple beauties of life. She treasured each day spent in her garden, where she found solace in nature, surrounded by God's grace and beauty. Celebrating holidays and special moments, she made every event memorable, bringing joy to her family and friends with her thoughtful gestures and loving spirit.
Louise's personality reflected honesty, hard work, and an innate kindness that touched everyone she met. Her pride grew with each milestone her family achieved, and her proudest accomplishment was witnessing them flourish and thrive. She will be remembered for her gentle heart and her ability to find joy in the company of loved ones.
Louise leaves behind her devoted husband, Donald Uhl, Sr., and her loving daughters, Diane Martinson and Karen (Philip) Sims. She is also survived by her sons, Charlie (Susan) Bezy, Dennis (Rose) Bezy, Larry Bezy, her stepchildren, Donnie Uhl, Paula Jones, Dave Uhl, Tony Uhl, Neil Uhl, along with her brother, Lawrence Pfalzer. The love she shared with her seven grandchildren, Rachel Ferree, Hannah Love, Dallas Sims, Logan Sims, Trevor Sims, Julianne Bezy, Allyson Bezy; and eight great-grandchildren radiated throughout her life, and they will carry her legacy of warmth and kindness in their hearts.
She is reunited in spirit with her husband, Charles (Butch) Bezy, mother, Mary Pfalzer, father, Edwin Pfalzer, sister, Patricia O'Connor, and brother, Edwin Pfalzer, who surely welcomed her with open arms.
Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Louise's life. A visitation will take place on December 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany, IN. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on December 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St Mary's Church Navilleton in Floyds Knobs, IN, followed by a graveside service at St Mary of the Knobs Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
