Louis Rusty Meier

January 15, 1945 — July 19, 2021

Louis Rusty Meier, 76, passed away on July 19, 2021. He was an Army veteran with the 101st Airborne. Louis retired from C Lee Cook after 45 years of service. He was a car enthusiast who loved his 2004 Corvette and 1931 Three Window Ford Coupe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis B. Meier, Jr; mother, Dorothy Mae Distler and 2nd mother, Jacqueline Meier.

Louis leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 56 years, Anna Sue Meier; children, William Eugene (Anna) Meier, Louis Scott (Kim) Meier and April (David) Lynch; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Louie (Iris) Meier, Jack Meier, Rocky (Helen) Meier and Casey (Prudie) Meier and sister, Rouge Estes

Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 2pm-7pm. A celebration of Louis's life will be Monday, July 26, 2021, beginning at 1pm at the funeral home.

Louis will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
