Louis Jennings Maxberry, 93, of McDaniels, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona.

He was born on October 4, 1926 in McCracken County, Kentucky to Louis and Georgia Duncan Maxberry.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Looney Maxberry; father, Louis Jennings Maxberry, Sr.; mother, Georgia Hughes; and sister, Ann Sensing.

Lou is survived by his daughters, Jenny (Michael) Brown and Lynn Cates; grandchildren, Katie Baurle, Justin Brown, and Jodi Dawson-Hunt; and 11 great grandchildren.

Lou will be remembered as a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family and friends well and will be missed by many.

Lou was in the Navy and served two years during WWII. He worked on the railroad for 52 years. He started as a brakeman with the Illinois Central Railroad and retired from Amtrak. After he retired he pursued 'lake life'. For several years he summered in Tennessee on Kentucky Lake and then most recently in Kentucky on Rough River. He spent his winters in the warmer climates of Texas and Arizona.

Due to current restrictions, services will be private. Mr. Maxberry will be laid to rest next to his wife at Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton, Kentucky.
