Loretta Reed Goins , 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at home on Thursday, September 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 29, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Patrick and Margaret Sheffield. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers: Donald Sheffield, Earl Sheffield, Harry Sheffield, and Jim Sheffield, Sisters: Margaret Ann Gerstner, Rosalee Shirley, and Patricia Gill.
Loretta is survived by her loving Daughters, Tracy (Roger) Middlebrooks, Ginger (Jim) King, and Keri (Al) Garcia, Brother, Patrick (Nancy) Sheffield, Jr., Grandchildren, Destinee Garcia, Kelsi King, Dylan (Makenzi) Garcia, Tyler (Summer) Garcia, Shelbee Garcia, and Roger Middlebrooks, Great-Grandchildren, Saige Spencer, Roman Spencer, and coming soon, Kaine E. King and Baby Garcia, and numerous nieces, nephews, her "nother" daughters, Carol (Orville) Lewis, Monica (Troy) Watson, Melanie Delk, Billie Marshall, and other beloved family members.
A gathering for her family and friends will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Loretta 's memory be made to breast cancer or vascular dementia research.
