Loraine’s passions were as diverse as her talents. She was an ardent lover of animals, often finding solace in their presence and companionship. Her creative spirit flourished in her myriad hobbies; she spent countless hours cultivating her garden, filling spaces with vibrant blooms. Crafting allowed her to express her artistry and imagination, while music brought a soundtrack to her life, with Rod Stewart's melodies resonating deeply within her heart.
As we remember Loraine, we also celebrate the moments she gifted us—the smiles she ignited, the laughter she elicited, and the love she imparted. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on July 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 6:00 PM. Both services will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.
Her absence will be profoundly felt, yet the imprint of her life will remain, echoing through the hearts of those who knew and adored her. Loraine Margaret Sanders has left this earthly realm, but her spirit endures, an everlasting testament to love, joy, and indefatigable courage.
She was preceded in death by her parents Garland and Margaret Forrest; brother, Garland Forrest, Jr.; sister, Sharon Carby and uncle, Edward "Uncle" Fischer.
Loraine leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Jason (Brittany) Sanders and Jessica Sanders; grandchildren, Briana Sanders, Emily (Mickey) Davis, Garrett Bowling and Kayley Sanders; siblings, David (Alice) Forrest, Elaine Peltier and Edward (Kim) Forrest and numerous, nieces, nephews and friends.
