Lonnie Creech, 72, of Jeffersonsville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was a skilled craftsman who loved working with his hands and attending classic car shows. Lonnie will always be remembered for his love of the UK Wildcats and for being a kind and loving person who never met a stranger.
He was born on June 27, 1945 in London, Kentucky to the late Alonzo and Ida (Engle) Creech. Along with his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his siblings, Jewell "Jack" Creech, Joyce Gore, and Sue Gibbs; and first wife and mother of his sons, Susan (Cerhan) Creech.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Helen J. "Jan" (Rue) Creech; children, Kevin Creech (Jill), Brian Creech (Amber), and Tammy Thomas (Rob); 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Paul Creech, Betty Catron, Glynn Creech, Jimmy Creech, Donald Creech, Roger Creech, and Lena Virden.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
