Ms. Lola Kathleen "Kathy" Kime was born on October 5,1941 in Shelbyville, KY to the late Theodore and Mary (Murphy) Sharp.
Eventually, her family moved to Louisville, KY where she and her father were both baptized the same week at Baxter Avenue Baptist Church.
She was the only girl of six. She has been preceeded in death by her parents; oldest brother, Phil Sharp (Marie) and youngest brother, Curtis Sharp.
Kathy was married in 1962 to John J. Kime III but later divorced, with whom she had two sons, John J. Kime IV and Jeffrey Kime.
She is survived by brothers, Ted Sharp (Debbie), Ed Sharp (Marsha), Greg Sharp (Patsy); both sons, John J. Kime IV (Lisa), Jeffrey Kime; grandchildren, Kayla, Cassandra, Taylor, Jackson; great grandchildren, Adrian, Randon, Brayden; along with eight nieces, fifteen nephews, as well as many other family members and friends.
Kathy went home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 12, 2017 while residing at the Hildegard House Louisville, KY. Firm in her beliefs, she was at peace and ready to start the beginning of her eternal life.
In loving memory of Kathy a celebration of life memorial will be held on Friday August 18, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Westport Road Baptist Church in the fellowship hall. Prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, Kathy requested donations be made to the Hildegard House, INC. P.O. Box 5613 Louisville, KY 40255.
Jesus is the Lord of my life. Sickness and disease have no power over me. I am forgiven and free from sin and guilt. I am dead to sin and alive unto righteousness. (Col. 1:21,22.)
