Listen to Obituary
Lois Maxine Moorhead, 96, was born August 21, 1924 and entered eternal rest on January 2, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Lyman Lindley of Hutsonville, IL, and by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles "Bud" Moorhead, whom she married November 6, 1943.

She leaves her sons Charles (Carol) and Steve Moorhead, grandchildren Jordan, Alyssa, Joel (Laura) and Paul (Cassy) Moorhead, as well as great grandsons Maximilian and Alex Moorhead and great granddaughter Ruth Moorhead, all of whom will cherish her memory. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law (Rhea Glenn of Robinson, IL and Joann Craig of Columbus, OH) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Having grown up on a farm in rural Illinois and thrust into a large family by marriage, Maxine was a kind and loving woman who, while naturally reserved in her demeanor, never met a stranger. She was very active in church life and was a skilled pianist/accompanist for Bud and regularly played piano and organ for churches and funeral homes in areas where she lived. She instilled a love of music in her children, and while musically talented, preferred to use her abilities at the keyboard rather than in the spotlight. She was a friend to all, committed Christian, loyal and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and gave freely of her time and gifts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a memorial service in her honor at a later date because of the Covid pandemic.

Any memorial contributions may be made to Pinehaven Christian Childrens' School, PO Box 940, St. Ignatius, MT 59865, or to New Life Christian Church, 4188 Wyntree Dr, Newburgh, IN 47630.
