Lloyd H. Elliott, born on January 24, 1966, in Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025, with his beloved wife of 30 years, Shelia Elliott and family, by his side. He was a man of many passions and deep convictions, embodying the spirit of a loyal husband, a loving father, and a devoted grandfather.
Lloyd's career as a maintenance man at Alpine Properties for over eight years reflected his innate talent for fixing and restoring things. He had a particular affinity for tearing apart old machinery and putting them back together, a skill that he often applied in his personal projects, including the revival of his cherished Chevy truck. His love of refurbishing and restoring extended beyond vehicles, as he took immense pride in transforming his old home into a beautiful haven filled with warmth and love. He delighted in spending time in his yard and was particularly fond of his Koi pond, where tranquility reigned.
Education played a foundational role in Lloyd’s early life as he attended Hazelwood Middle School. Yet, it was not just the lessons in books that shaped him; it was the values of dedication and family he carried throughout his life. Lloyd's proudest accomplishments were watching his family grow, and nothing brought him greater joy than the love he shared with his grandchildren—Aryanna, Kenzie, Aybel, Avery, Haisley, and Alyvia—who held a special place in his heart.
Lloyd’s personality was characterized by his deep loyalty and commitment. For 30 wonderful years, he adored his wife, Shelia, with whom he navigated life’s joys and challenges. Together they made lasting memories, particularly during their travels, embodying the true essence of partnership. He shared a close bond with his daughter, Wendy (Carl) Brown; and is survived by his sons, Randy Elliott and Brandin Leffler, always encouraging them and sharing his vast knowledge on restoring and caring for things.
He will be missed dearly by his extended family, which includes his brothers, Jimmy Elliott, Donald (Teresa) Elliott, and Timmy (Cathy) Elliott, as well as his sister, Sandra (Steve) Carroll, and many loving nieces and nephews. Though he faced the loss of those dearest to him, including his father, Clifton John Elliott, his mother, Shirley Elliott, and sister, Tammy Elliott, Lloyd’s spirit remained unyielded, always finding comfort in the love of his family.
Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and an unwavering passion for family. His heartfelt connection to his grandchildren exemplified the love that radiated from him, showing the world the depth of a grandfather’s love.
