Lisa M. Dukes

Lisa M. Dukes, 47, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 19, 1970 to Virginia McKenzie and the late Nathaniel Henry. Lisa was faithful servant of Jehovah since October 2001. She loved staying out in her ministry and loved in association with her friends. Lisa had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Anyone who knew Lisa loved her sense of humor and hearing her laughter.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, John Dukes; mother, Virginia McKenzie; two beloved daughters, Ashley Marie McKenzie and Asia Lanay McKenzie (Eric Philpot); a grandson who was the light of her life, Elijah L. Philpot; siblings, Sandra R. McKenzie, Nathaniel M. McKenzie, III (Diane), Frances L. Rush(Damon), Michael E. McKenzie (Michelle) and Sheila Y. Fant (Kenneth); and a host of other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at her church, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Parkland, 3500 Peleske Drive, Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The family will gather on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10-2 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.
