Lisa Marie Childress, 53, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
She was born on October 15, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland to George and Linda Lawson. Lisa was a loving and caring person. She originally moved to Louisville to help care for her grandmother in 1990. Lisa was an avid fan of sports, especially any team from New York. This who knew her well will remember her for her caring spirit and she will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, George Harold Lawson and her husband, Samuel Childress.
Lisa is survived by her son, Alan Jerrell Lawson, mother, Linda Lawson; brothers, Michael Lawson (Sherry) and Kevin Lawson; Uncle, Michael Brown (Joan); nieces and nephew, Joel, Nicole, and Janae Lawson.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 9th, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky (in Middletown). A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
