Linda Nell (Latham) Thomas

Linda Nell (Latham) Thomas, 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

She was born on June 6, 1942, in Albany, Kentucky, to the late Bill Ed Latham and Georgia (Wells) Latham. She was the only girl of six children and dearly loved her brothers.

She was passionate for her quilting, gardening, and traveling with her life partner, best friend, and soulmate, Robert "Bob" Johnson.

Linda is survived by her children, Sherry (Scott) Eaton, Kathy (David) Heckman, Vicky (Mike) Erickson, and William "Bill" Thomas; brothers, Dale Latham, Gene Latham, Gary Latham, Whiz Latham, and Mitchell Latham; grandchildren, Chris Heckman, Cierra Herbst, Mitchell Kahl, Ben Heckman, Ashlie Dillinger, Ian Erickson, and Mara Erickson; 15 great-grandchildren; and we cannot forget her loving dog, Mazzie.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Linda will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery (2507 Green Valley Road, New Albany, Indiana).
