Linda L. Seiler, a cherished soul who devoted her life to family, hard work, and kindness, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Clarksville, Indiana, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on December 18, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, Linda’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love, dedication, and a spirit that touched all who knew her.
Linda attended New Albany High School, where she laid the foundation for a lifetime of commitment and care. She worked diligently as a housekeeper at Wedgewood Assisted Living Facility and served as a bowling alley attendant. Yet, her greatest role by far was that of a stay-at-home mom, making sure her children and family always had everything they needed. Her proudest accomplishment was watching her family grow and thrive, a living testament to her sacrifices and boundless love.
She was described by those who knew her as a loyal wife to her late husband Donald Seiler, a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a compassionate great-grandmother and friend. Linda’s personality shone with traits of hard work, fun-loving joy, kindness, honesty, and unwavering devotion. Her hobbies and interests reflected a zest for life; she had a passion for crafting, enjoyed bingo and gambling, loved the casino and scratcher tickets, and nurtured a beautiful collection of butterflies. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family — the true center of her world.
Linda is survived by a large and loving family who carried her spirit in their hearts. Her daughters, Bobbie (Michael) Richmer and Connie Lynn Stepp; her sons, Scott (Leigh) Seiler and Glen Seiler; her grandsons, Matthew (Sammi) Richmer and Chris Daily; and her great-grandchildren, Joslyn (Lillian), Jenna, Jacalyn, Violet, and Scarlet, all continue to honor her memory with love. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Jack Roberts, Donna Bailey, Inez "Butch" Roberts, Regina (Keith) Edwards, Sue (Mike) Turner, and half-brother Billy Roberts.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved spouse Donald Seiler, her mother Rosemary Baker, her father Orville Roberts and her granddaughter Kasandra Daily. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy lives on vividly through the family she cherished and the countless hearts she touched.
A memorial gathering celebrating Linda’s life will be held on April 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana. This event will be a time for friends and loved ones to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable woman who gave so much of herself for others.
Linda L. Seiler’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, sacrifice, kindness, and joy. She leaves behind a family that was the center of her existence and a legacy of devotion that will forever inspire. Her gentle spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
