Linda (Stark) McDonley, 65, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She was a dedicated nurse and the recipient of the Hannah Jenkins Award. Linda proudly took on the role of foster parent for several children with special needs. She enjoyed gardening, art, and being out in nature.
She was born on July 16, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Ida (Snipp) Emmons. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Amy and Robyn Williams.
Linda is survived by her husband of 28 years, David McDonley, Jr.; children, Daniel Williams, Sr., Kristie Black (Chris), Jennifer Gravel (Warren), Jodie Williams (Jaylene), and Sean McDonley; sister, Sue Strong-Noble (Speedy); and grandchildren, Alyssa, Daniel, Jr., Kaitlynn, Laurel, Katie, Laurel, James, and Coultin.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
