Linda Sue Lynch Fogle Wood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Sue Lynch Fogle Wood, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, who departed from this world on February 18, 2026. Linda was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Linda dedicated her life to those she loved, embracing her roles as a devoted partner, mother, sister, grandma, and friend. She worked tirelessly for the board of education, where she made a meaningful impact as a teacher's aide among various other roles. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless children, and her passion for helping others shone through in everything she did.

A lover of romance novels, bingo, scratch-offs, and cooking, Linda infused joy and sass into her everyday life, embodying an independent spirit that inspired those around her. She had a wonderful ability to celebrate the little things, and her infectious laughter will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Born on July 19, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, Linda was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Kelly) Lynch. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Cotton, her father, Lawrence Gee Lynch, and her dear son, Joel Fogle, Jr., who holds a special place in her memory.

Linda’s spirit will continue to live on through her devoted life partner, Joel Fogle, Sr., her loving daughter, Angela Fogle, her brother, Ronnie Lynch, and her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind a large extended family and a circle of friends who will forever cherish the time spent with her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life during visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A heartfelt celebration of life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Linda will be laid to rest at a later date at Lile Cemetery in Leitchfield, Kentucky,
