Linda Lou (Goins) Mattingly

Linda Lou (Goins) Mattingly was born on June 12, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky, and passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Throughout her life she worked for several companies. She retired from Preferred Medical as a Pharmacy Bill Review Specialist, but her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, mimi, sister, aunt, and friend. She was also a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she served on many committees.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emily and William Goins; brothers, Oscar, Henry, Howard, and Ralph Goins; and sisters, Betty Stafford and Easter Barker.

Linda is survived by her husband, Alonzo Maynard Mattingly; her son, Anthony (Christina) Mattingly; brothers, Doug Goins, Michael Goins, and William "Bill" Goins; grandchildren, Michael Eichmann, Joshua Mattingly, and Noah Mattingly; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 13800 Aiken Road, Louisville, KY 40245. Interment of Ashes will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
