Linda Faye Green

Linda Faye "Woodie" Green, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. Linda loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at Norton Kosair Hospital for 42 years before her retirement. Linda loved watching "Walking Dead" and never missed an episode. She was most loving and kindness person, and cared for all of her family and friends. She was a two time breast cancer survivor and courageously fought until the end. Linda will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on June 20, 1950 in New Haven, Kentucky Carl & Juanita (Edlin) Woods. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, George Green, Jr., Granddaughter, Brittney Green, and Brother, Mike Woods.

Linda is survived by her Sons, William Green, and Brian K Green, Sr., Grandchildren, Brian (Arialle) Green, Jr., Maranda Green, Shelby Green, Michelle Green, Cienna Green, and Christian Norton, Brothers, Ronnie Woods, and Terry Woods, Sister, Alma Sue Pierce. Linda also leaves behind to cherish her memory 11 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery.
