Linda Michelle Breedlove

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Michelle Breedlove, aged 42, on May 7, 2025, in her beloved Louisville, Kentucky.

Linda was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, mamaw, and friend, she embraced each role with love and dedication. She worked as a team lead in production at Piston Automotive for over two years, demonstrating her strong work ethic and passion for teamwork.

Outside of work, Linda found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished time spent with her family, particularly relishing moments with her children and grandchildren. Her heart soared during family trips to the picturesque Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, where laughter and memories were made. Linda also had a flair for shopping, delighting in picking out thoughtful gifts for her grandkids and unwinding with her favorite crime shows, such as *The First 48* and *Forensic Files*. Every evening, she would cuddle up with her beloved fur baby, Mia, creating cozy moments to cherish.

Born on July 30, 1982, in Louisville, Linda was a treasured daughter of James and Cynthia (Hood) Thorpe. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry Dunn; her devoted parents, James and Cynthia Thorpe; her children, Makayla Breedlove, Nevaeh Breedlove, Jordan Cotton, Daniel Breedlove, and Christian Thorpe; her brothers, Daniel (Billy) Thorpe and James (Desire) Thorpe, Jr.; and her precious granddaughter, Shyann Dunn, expected granddaughter to be, Ahmiliana Myles;  aunt, Pamela Elgin as well as her grandson, Ayden Cotton. Linda also leaves behind her nephew, Austin Thorpe, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Linda was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Haley Cotton, and her beloved grandmothers, Linda Hood and Betty Bodermann.

Her family invites you to celebrate her life during visitation on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In honor of Linda’s memory, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
