Linda Denise Brooks Blair was born on August 29, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to Rev. Leroy Brooks and Doris Jean Carr Brooks. Linda, affectionately called "Aunt Dee Dee" by her nieces and nephews, passed from this earth to eternal rest on Monday December 14, 2021 at Baptist East Hospital.
Linda was a graduate of Shawnee High School. She retired from Hosparus. She also accepted Christ in her life at an early age.
Throughout Linda's colorful life, she has always been a very strong and confident woman. Her sense of style was relevant in everything she touched and wore, and high heels were her shoe of choice wherever she went throughout life. She also had a keen eye for decorating and making anything look beautiful. Linda was a shopping queen.
Linda enjoyed long rides with Harold and caring for her children and grandchildren. Nothing came before them. They were the light of her life.
Linda had always been adamant about the constant sense of normality as her health began to decline. She stayed true to this throughout her health challenges and battles, until God called her home.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Harold Blair, Jr., children: Son, Darryl Goodner, daughter, Diamond Blair and step-daughter, Jacquelinet Jones. Daughter-in-law, Anna Goodner and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11:00 am until the memorial service time at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive).
