Linda Charlene (Jones) Baker

Linda Charlene (Jones) Baker, 63, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She enjoyed playing bingo, as well as spending time with her family. Linda carried with her a contagious smile and was always concerned about others. She always wanted to make sure that everyone was okay.

She was born on December 26, 1954, in New Albany to the late Robert Jones and Joyce (Hall) Best. Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Baker; and sister, Sherri Anderson.

Linda is survived by her children, Keith Akers (Kelly), Jamie Akers (fiancée Lindsay Tanner), and Deanna Burns (Daniel); siblings, Mary Beth Baird, John Best, and Carole Best; grandchildren, Kelsey, Kinsey, Kassidy, and Dakota; and companion, Nelson Waldrews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
