Lillie Marie (Boleware) Mcbirth

Lillie Marie (Boleware) McBirth, 59, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was a retired special education assistant for the New Albany/Floyd County School Corporation and a member of Cable Baptist Church in Louisville. Lillie was a mother figure to many, always leaving her door open to others. She was an avid fan of the Louisville Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Alabama Crimson Tide. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was born on July 6, 1957, in Louisville to the late Clarence and Mattie Lou (Jennings) Boleware. Lillie is survived by her children, Laundgenette "Lonnie" McBirth, Charles "Chucky" McBirth, and Takisha McBirth; sisters, Jessie Boleware, Linda Boleware, Diana Richardson (Kern), identical twin Eula Collins, and Jacqueline Boleware-Grim; grandchildren, Breia, Bresha, Leondre, and Kahlil; great-granddaughter, Paris; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Galatian Missionary Baptist Church (2020 Maryland Avenue, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church with cremation to follow according to Lillie's wishes.
