Lillie Mae Kendall

Lillie Kendall, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Lillie was a retired Nursing Assistant of more than 30 years, working for various Louisville area nursing facilities and as a Private Duty Nursing Assistant.

Her time in retirement was spent cooking and baking. Her family dinners were always remarkable. She also loved playing with the Yorkies; Maggie and Teddy, and watching reality TV.

Lillie is survived by her loving children, Joseph Kendall, and Margaret D. Center (Steve), Grandchildren, Steven Center, and Jacob Center, Great-Grandchild, Maya Center, Brother, Lester Shuffitt (Beckie), and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Joseph Kendall, her parents, Bodine Lawson Irvine and Birdie Mae Irvine; brothers Howard and James, and Sister Anna Mae.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am, with burial at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Norton Cancer Institute.
