Lillian Goodman

Lillian Goodman, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Lillian was loving, caring, and willing to help anyone in need. She was very family oriented and her purpose in life was to be the best mother, wife and grandmother that she could be. After her duties were fulfilled, Lillian was the life of the party. She loved to bowl, sing, having a good time with her family enjoying the night life. She was the life of the party. She always had a smile on her face and a joke to tell. Lillian will be very well missed and carries everyone that she left behind her in heart.

She was born on March 9, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Richard Thompson, Sr. and Bertha Sanders. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Goodman; daughter, Sheila Thompson; son, Damon Goodman, Sr.; sister, Rochelle Thompson; and her brother, Donald Sanders.

Lillian is survived by her loving family, son, Raymond Goodman, Sr., grandchildren, Anisha Goodman, Dachelle Goodman, Raymond Goodman, Jr., Damon Goodman, Jr., Dailen Goodman, Rayia Goodman, Dallas Goodman, Raynia Goodman; brothers, Richard (Natisha) Thompson, Jr., Rick Sanders; sisters, Doris Thompson, Angie Thompson, Laura Williams; great-granchildren, Kaleigh Goodman, Breanna Proctor, Kylan Goodman, Kaison Goodman, Xaria Ibarra, and Xendaya Ibarra; as well as host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Lillian's memory be made to her son, Raymond Goodman, Sr.
