Lewis O. Morrison

Lewis "Lou" Morrison., 68, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He retired from Sodrel Trucking after 30 years of service and was a United States Air Force veteran. Lou enjoyed working at the American Legion Post 42 in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, for many years as the bartender and cook. At the Legion, he helped with Toys for Tots and in any way he could. He was a very outgoing person and loved people. Lou also enjoyed traveling, collecting model trains, and his beloved dog, Tiny.

He was born on May 11, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Edgar and Virginia (Lain) Morrison. Along with his parents, Lou was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Morrison and stepson, James Koch. Lou is survived by his loving daughter, Lynn Morrison (Phillip); his step-sons, George, John, and Karl Koch (Janet); stepdaughter, Ruth Gilmore (Gary); four grandchildren, Kiefer and Noah Hernandez, and Nicholas and Abby Lynn Dudley; along with many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Legion Post 42 (4530 Paoli Pike, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119) in honor of Lou.
