Lewis Young Brown, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on August 21, 2017. He retired from B.F. Goodrich. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict and he was a former member of Jefferson County Mounted Sheriff's Posse.
Lewis was born on December 1, 1942 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Lucian and Lena Brown.
He is survived by his children, sons, Mark Brown and Greg Armstrong (Sharon); daughter, Beth Warner (Jack); love of his life, Pattie Filley; grandchildren, Kayla and Micah Brown, Jacob and Thomas Armstrong, Kelsi and Alex Warner; great-grandchildren, Scott, Olivia and Haley Weber; siblings, Neline Kerr (Charles), Lonnie Brown (Roberta), Elwanda Horseley, Hubert "Charlie" Brown (Vicki), Del Vontrice "Dee Dee" Hurt (Billy); and his loving furry companion, Luci Brown.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a Prayer Service to start at
4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
