It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lester Patrick McKim, who departed this life on January 25, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on June 2, 1957.
Lester proudly served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era.
Beyond his service, Lester had a profound love for working on cars, particularly muscle cars, Volkswagens, and motorcycles. His hands were not just tools of labor; they were a source of joy as he immersed himself in his hobbies, finding solace and satisfaction in the intricacies of machinery.
Lester is survived by his beloved daughter, April McKim, who brought him immense pride and joy. He cherished each moment spent with his grandchildren, Issac McKim, Carly Russell, and Zachary Russell, all of whom will carry his legacy forward. He is also survived by his brother, Burrell McKim, and sister, Cindy (Rob) Wild, who shared many lifelong memories with him. He was an uncle to Brent (Suzetta) McKim, Troy Embry, and Destinee (Daniel) Woods; and will be missed by his loving girlfriend, Anna Petty, who stood by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald McKim and Jacie (Shickle) McKim, as well as his brother, Everett McKim; sister, Karen Embry; and his nephew, Johnny McKim.
