Leslie Ann (Allen) Kruer

Leslie Ann (Allen) Kruer, 61, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 16, 2021. She was strongly devoted to her family and loved traveling and the companionship of animals, especially her cats. Leslie was known for being everyone's favorite tax lady and was the owner and operator of Better Tax Returns in New Albany.

She was born on May 24, 1960, in New Albany, Indiana, to ImaJean (Kissling) Copple and the late Orville Allen, Sr. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Allen.

Along with her mother, Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Ted Kruer; children, Tascha (Joshua) Monroe, Raymond Giles, Jr., Alicia (Christopher) Hysell, and Kendall Kruer; grandchildren, Taylor, Erik, Aaron, Dylan, Madison, Leland, and Adriana; great-grandchildren, Mariana and Magdalena Mil; siblings, Lee Allen, Karen Doran, and David Allen; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Leslie's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Leslie's memory be made to the New Albany-Floyd County Animal Shelter.
