Leslie Jayne Hayden

Leslie Jayne Hayden, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 surrounded by family. She was the youngest child of James and Faye Hayden. She graduated from Shelby County High School and continued her education at the University of Louisville School of Nursing where she earned a Bachelors Degree. She dedicated several years to serving others during her fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse at Audubon Hospital and University of Louisville Medical Center East. Outside of work, she enjoyed traveling, especially anywhere there was a beach.

She was born on November 3, 1961 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to James and Faye (Stevens) Hayden. She is preceded in death by her father, James Hayden; her mother, Faye Hayden; and her husband, Michael Oakes.

Jayne is survived by her loving family, brothers, Marke (Cindy) Hayden and Robert (Leena Fisher) Hayden; furry friend, Milo; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. The family invites everyone to wear Pink in her honor.

The family requests that contributions in Jayne's memory be made to the Brown Cancer Center.
