Leslie "Roach" Barnett, Jr., 61, passed away on October 21, 2015. He retired from John Riley Auto Service as a painter for 33 years. He enjoyed growing tomatoes, fishing, hunting, race car driving and was an avid UofL Cardinal fan. Roach adored horse racing and especially derby time. Spending time with his family and friends meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula "Marie" Mings; father, Leslie Barnett, Sr. and best friend, Doug Bishop.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Barnett; son, Leslie Barnett, III; brothers, Larry Barnett and Gilbert Gray; sisters, Faye Bales and Beth and best friend, Fred Benincasa.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 11am-6pm with a celebration of Roach's life beginning at 6pm.
