Leonard Poole Ray, Sr.

October 18, 1948 — March 29, 2015

Mr. Leonard Poole Ray, Sr., age 66 of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born on October 18, 1948 in Louisville to George and the late Virginia Ray. He was a Marine Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a former machinist at International Harvester, Naval Ordnance and BAE. In addition to his mother, Leonard was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Ray; and brother, Jerry Ray.

Mr. Ray is survived by his children, Laressa Luttrell (Ted), Leonard Ray, Jr. (Anne); 12 Grandchildren; and sister, Dixie Morgan (Norman).

Mass of Celebration will be 11am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Our Lady of the Pillar Traditional Catholic Chapel 4049 South Fifth Street Louisville, KY 40214 with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West, with military honors. Visitation will be from 2-8pm Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church.
