Leon Hyatt, 87, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Leon was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for 38 years as a foreman at General Electric Appliance Park until his retirement.

He was born on April 24, 1936 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Hyatt; son, Larry Hyatt; brother, Quinn Hyatt; and sister, Juanita Hyatt.

Leon is survived by his children, Cliff (Barbara) Hyatt, Lori (David) Rutledge, and Lance Hyatt; grandchildren, Kristin (Russ) Horton, Chelsea (Nick) Adkins, Cameron Hyatt, Ronnie (Nicole) Janes, Lindsay (Lance) Beard, Trent (Alexa) Hyatt, Bailey (Courtney) Hyatt, Austin Rutledge, Ryan Rutledge, and Daniel Rutledge; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Geneva (Charles) Unsell.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
