Leon E. Elwanger, 76, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away on November 9, 2011 at his home. Leon was a retired mechanic of 35 years for Fontaine Trucking Company.
Leon was born on March 18, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Roy and Leona Elwanger. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth G. (Deibel) Elwanger. Visitation will be 3 to 8 PM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM. His Funeral Service is at 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home followed by burial at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown.
