Leo William Wolfe, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 11, 2018. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus 1221 Cardinal Ritter Council, Bonnie Sloan American Legion, and the Floyds Knobs Community Club. Leo was known as a hard worker and loved spending time with his family, traveling, and gardening.
He was born on November 24, 1927, in Floyds Knobs to the late Clarence and Josephine (Toby) Wolfe. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roma E. (Uhl) Wolfe; and siblings, Bertha Trindeitmar, Irvin Wolfe, and Dorothy Fischer.
He is survived by his sons, David L. Wolfe (Janet Shuman), Daniel J. Wolfe (Diana), and Stephen A. Wolfe (Jeanette); 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Ruth Missi, Esther Book, and Mary Rosenberger.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and will continue on Thursday morning until 11:30 a.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
