Lena Vance Hood, 97, formerly of Louisville, KY passed away February 28, 2012 at Beehive Nursing Home in Indiana.
She is survived by her sons, William Hood (Barbara) and Phillip Hood; siblings, Elwood Vance and Lillian Slack; nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Her funeral ceremony will be held March 3, 2012, 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30-8 pm on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
