Lena Elizabeth Brown

Lena Elizabeth Brown, 62, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
She was born on November 20, 1957 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Milton Brown Sr. and Roberta Brown Carter. Lena graduated from New Albany Senior High School in 1976 and has several certifications from Indiana University Southeast and IVY Tech Community College. She worked at Airguard (Clarcor) for twenty-years and also worked at Insight. She had a passion for music; Luther Vandross and Earth, Wind, and Fire. Lena loved her fish tanks and spent much time taking care of hers and researching about them. Watching crime shows were one
of her favorite past times. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Brown.

Lena is survived by her loving daughters, Constance Blanchard and Candace Brown with her fiancé, Robert Hightower, III; son-in-law, Timothy Blanchard, and Ruben Anthony; siblings, James Alexander, Milton and (Bettye) Brown, Jr., Lana Brown, Raymond Brown, Lillian Reed, Tanya Brown and Veronica Brown; grandchildren, Cadence Blanchard, Chloe Ellen Blanchard, Ella Rae Brown, Coraline Blanchard and Ari Lee Hightower.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, her Funeral Service will be private at the funeral home.
